INTENSIVE THREE WEEK COURSE FOR AMERICAN AND ITALIAN STUDENTS
SIENA, ITALY
June 28 – July 19, 2008
The Siena School for Liberal Arts
Located in the center of Siena in a lovely turn of the century villa, the Siena School for Liberal Arts offers a unique study abroad experience in one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Italy. During the academic year, we offer courses in Italian language, history, anthropology, education and linguistics, art history, photography, madrigal performance, book art, drawing and creative writing. In the winter and summer interim weeks, the school provides specialized courses in language and the arts. With academic excellence as its starting point, the Siena School for Liberal Arts prides itself on fostering international, multidisciplinary and most importantly social awareness in each of its community-based programs.
Over the past two years the Siena School for Liberal Arts has begun collaborating with the local branch of the ENS (National Association of the Deaf) and has initiated a series of small-scale projects with the deaf community. Our language program for deaf adults, brings together Italian and American students in a unique academic and cultural experience.
