In Tuscany we like to say that Italian was born here and that only here will you learn the perfect Italian accent!
The “Education and Linguistics” and “Anthropology” courses from our Social Sciences Area of Study, both taught in Italian, may also count towards a specialization in Italian Language and Culture. All Field Work must be done in Italian.
Students with sufficient language skills may in addition enrol in courses at the University of Siena through our program (www.unisi.it/offerta.htm).
Your immersion in our language and culture is further enriched throughout the semester by film viewings and seminars on different topics.
In addition to our grammar and conversation requirements (see Programs above), students specializing in Italian Language and Culture must follow at least one course taught entirely in Italian. In the past we have offered the following:
Italian Language and Culture 1
Italian Cultural Studies
Italian Language and Culture 2
History of the Italian Language
Italian Language and Culture 3
Exploring Siena
Italian Language and Culture 4
Contemporary Italian music
