Service Learning at the Siena School means combining traditional academic coursework with practical work in the social sector. Recently we have channelled our Service Learning work towards our collaboration with the deaf community in Siena. We are the only School in Europe that is able to offer this unique kind of exploration of 'foreignness'. As American students you will be foreigners in Siena and by accessing, interacting with and understanding the situation of the deaf in Siena, and in Italy as a whole, you will gain a rare insight into the city dynamics. Your work can help us change things for the deaf community, and will most certainly change you!
