If you wish to live through the four seasons in our city, with more time to immerse yourself in Italian culture, combining in-class academic training with more hands-on experience, then you are a good candidate for our full-year program.
The School's goal for our full-year students is to have them become a real part of the Sienese community, by exposing them to and involving them in aspects of city life that they would not easily encounter in a shorter time. Students enrolled for a year will follow the same first semester as other students. During their second semester they will be required to take: an Italian class; an independent study with a Siena School professor or a faculty member from the University of Siena; a regular class from the School's course offerings; and to work on a community-based project of their choice. The latter is a unique chance for students to use their familiarity with the city, acquired in the first semester, to carry out a project that they are committed to, and to understand first-hand the transition from idea to practice.
