 Tuscany, the birthplace of Renaissance art, is the ideal location for studying Art History, where around every winding corner one can find magnificently frescoed churches and spectacular masterpieces of Renaissance and Gothic art. The Siena School’s Art History department gives students an opportunity to study in this area rich in history and culture, taking advantage of the artistic beauty and bounty of Siena and its surroundings. The courses combine time in the classroom with a number of visits and excursions in Tuscany, giving students an exceptional visual experience of the art they are studying. The department offers courses in Medieval and Renaissance art, as well as a hands-on Art Restoration course.
