The Siena School is deeply committed to providing students with an intensive and immersive study of Italian. The Italian courses combine the study of Italian language, conversation, and culture in order to give students the linguistic tools they need to navigate the city and experience the local community. While there is no language requirement to attend the school, and we have many Italian language beginners, there is a heavy emphasis on the importance of learning to speak Italian; as a result, the school provides students with services and experiences that encourage and aid language immersion and acquisition. For students with an advanced level of Italian seeking further Italian study, the school is able to arrange for them to take courses at the prestigious University of Siena, giving them insight into the Italian University system and providing them the opportunity to meet local Italian students
