Student who study at the Siena School in the Fall or Spring semester programs choose from a variety of intensive liberal arts courses offered in the following areas of study: Italian Language and Culture, History of Art, Sociology, Fine Arts, Music, and Deaf Studies. Students traditionally take four courses during the semester: the school requires that all students take the Italian Language and Culture course, as well as three other courses that the student chooses. Students may choose to follow courses that have an internship component as part of the course. The semester programs emphasize the importance of these internship-based, service-learning opportunities that give students the opportunity to apply the skills they learn in the classroom by participating in an internship in the local community. Semester internships are offered in Sociology, Deaf Studies, Art History, Fine Arts, and Music.
