The Great Return

I am currently working with Siena School for Liberal Arts where I will be managing blogs, student activities and social media. This is the great return to the great Siena as I have already studied abroad here in the spring of 2016. The first time I was in Siena, I was a student in college. I still vividly remember the first day I arrived in Siena because it was unlike any other feeling I have ever had. I called my mom in pure awe at the beauty surrounding me, trying to put into words how happy my heart felt. I told her, no matter what it takes, I will return!

Here I am back in this magical city, turning this dream into reality. Siena will never get old to me, no pun intended. Every corner I turn, I still fall in love with the structures, architecture, aromas, people, culture and tradition. During orientation one of the students said, “How will I ever be able to go back to America?” This exact question crossed my mind when I was here studying, not once but multiple times.

Students first glimpse at Siena

I am beyond excited to have this wonderful experience to live and work in Siena. Although this time will be a different position, this different is exactly what I wanted. I will be able to see through the student’s eyes but also from the working perspective. What better place to call home? A dream come true. Cheers to this new chapter and adventure of life!
