Italian Studies

Italian Studies

An intensive study of Italian with direct interaction and involvement within the local community.

Expoloring another country is more than a matter of linguistics. Real understanding means getting to know not just culture and art but also the country’s social and political complexities. That is why we created the Italian Studies Track, combining our intensive Italian language courses with studies in History, Literature and Political Science.

We believe that everyone can learn Italian - especially in light of the simple yet exciting teaching method that we put to use. What is our method? In a word, we blend together an intensive study of Italian with direct interaction and involvement within the community of Siena. The city itself is extraordinarily rich in historic, artistic, and literary treasures. Infinite beauty waits to be discovered in the architecture of the city and throughout the magnificent countryside of the surrounding province. No wonder that Siena, Pienza, San Gimignano and the Val d’Orcia have been selected as Unesco World Heritage sites.
